What the SL Turbo range covers.

SL Turbo is the one line we hold the Egyptian agency for, and it is the one we publish in the most detail. Here is what the range covers today: complete units, the components behind them, and how we check what we import.

Complete units, passenger and commercial

The published range now runs across both halves of the market. On the passenger side that includes the CT16V for the Fortuner 2.4L (2GD-FTV) and the GT2359V for the Land Cruiser 70 Series (1VD-FTV), alongside the GTB1749VK for the Range Rover Sport and the JH5 covering the Audi A6, S6, A7 and A8.

On the commercial side sit the GT2260V for the Iveco Daily IV 3.0 HPT and the K31 for the Detroit Diesel Series 60. Five vehicle makes, five series (GT, GTB, CT, K and JH) out of the twelve the manufacturer builds.

And the components behind them

A turbocharger is rarely replaced whole when it does not have to be, so the agency covers the parts as well as the unit. Fifteen component categories are available to order: CHRA cartridges, compressor wheels, turbine shaft wheels, bearing housings, actuators, nozzle rings, seal plates, heat shields, piston rings, thrust bearings, thrust collars and spacers, journal bearings, oil deflectors and repair kits.

That is what makes the agency worth holding. A workshop that needs a cartridge does not have to buy a complete turbo to get one.

What we import, and how it is checked

The manufacturer has been building turbochargers since 1997 and runs its production under IATF 16949, with its own R&D centre, VNT tooling, Schenck balancing and Hexagon and Nikon coordinate measuring.

ALWSL imports factory-new production only, and every unit is serial-verified before it goes out. That is a statement about our sourcing, not about the factory's business: like most turbocharger manufacturers it also runs a remanufacturing operation. We simply do not buy from it.

Before you order

Fitment data on this site is taken from our own price list rather than a general catalogue, so it reflects what we actually stock against each application. If your engine code is not listed, it is worth asking anyway. The reference may exist under a different application.
